We've been wearing masks only the last week if & when we go out.
However, even though I'm not a dr or scientist, it seems pretty obvious to me that masks only help if those who already have covid, knowingly or not, are actually wearing them, keeping it to themselves.
If you are wearing a mask and don't have it, and the virus gets on your mask via air droplets or by you touching something, whenever you touch that mask to remove, or when you lie it down, the virus is obviously then transferred.
Would you guys agree?

Like I said though, if you're out & about, we should hope that those who already have it, are the majority wearing them.

But I think everyone is led to believe the opposite

It does not protect those around you, does not prevent spread of virus Totally unscientific pseudo science.
Outside a mask is not needed as the chance of transmission is nil
The elements and how viruses are transmitted does not happen outside.

But regardless, if you're state orders everyone to wear them, nobody should think they are above the law and deliberately not wear one.
I don't like wearing a seat belt but do it because it's the law.
Not a good analogy Hache. It's absolutely 100% in your best interest to wear seatbelt. Whether it's comfortable or not.
No scientific evidence whatsoever a thin bandana around your face does jack shit against this virus. Zilch. Especially in open air. That's just common sense and ridiculous to even think it would.
